Beginning March 1, 2012 Emirates will be added as a Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan member.
Below are the earning rates.

The earning rates are as follows:
Beginning March 1, 2012 Minimum 500 miles or; 50% of actual flight miles for Discount Economy (M, B, U, K, Q, L, T, V, X, H classes of service); 100% of actual flight miles for Full Fare Economy (Y, E, R, W classes of service) ; 125% of actual flight miles for Business Class (C, J, I classes of service) and 150% actual flight miles for First Class (F, A, P classes of service)
To qualify for mileage accrual, flights must must be marketed and operated by Emirates.
To ensure flight credit, the two letter airline code (EK) must precede the flight number (for example, EK XXXX) on your ticket receipt or boarding pass.

Hertz customers can enjoy discounts of up to 33% on car rental for international travel to 111 countries.

The Hertz global sale runs until January 31, 2012 for rentals picked up between January 3, 2012 through June 30, 2012.

The discounts vary by country and location, ranging from 20% (Americas and Asia Pacific) to up to 33% (in Europe and the Middle East). In order to get these special discounts, customers are required to quote ‘CDP: 754910’ while making reservations direct with Hertz.

Also, in addition to this global promotion, Hertz customers residing in Europe, Middle East and Africa can benefit from the same discounts in their home country.

US Airways announced some changes to their Dividend Miles frequent flier program. The changes will be effective February 15, 2012.

The quick ticketing fee of $75 on awards booked now applies to reservations made within 21 days of travel (before the change the fee window was within 14 days of travel).

The free baggage allowance for Silver Preferred members has been reduced from two to one bag (for tickets booked on or after December 15, 2011 for travel on or after February 15, 2012).

American Airlines frequent-fliers have the opportunity to earn double elite qualifying miles for travel on all flights operated by American, American Eagle or AmericanConnection between Dec. 13, 2011 and Jan. 31, 2012.

AA says this offer enables customers to reach elite status in the AAdvantage program faster than usual.

AAdvantage members can qualify for elite status in the program by earning 25,000 elite qualifying miles for AAdvantage Gold status; 50,000 miles for AAdvantage Platinum status; and 100,000 miles for AAdvantage Executive Platinum status in a calendar year.
