Alaska Airlines will offer customers free Wi-Fi access for smartphones and iPod touch devices until the end of September.

The airline has installed Gogo inflight internet on most of its fleet.

Wi-Fi access for other Wi-Fi enabled devices — laptops, netbooks, iPads and tablet computers — will be charged based on the length of flight and the device used, starting from US$4.95.
Once the promotion has ended, September 30, all passengers using Gogo inflight internet will be charged regardless from what Wi-Fi enabled device they are accessing the service.

Beginning September 1st, 2011, American Airlines will introduce a new set of services on some of its First and Business Class international flights.

Select international flights where American’s Business Class passengers will have the chance to enjoy the new suite of premium class amenities since September 1st include flights between the U.S. and London Heathrow.
Passengers will receive a new premium duvet and pillow, slippers, and amenity kit.

Beginning October 1st, American’s First Class and Business Class cabins onboard all international flights operated by Boeing 777s and 767-300s will begin offering the full suite of products, including the turndown service.

US Airways has open registration for its Grand Slam promotion. US Airways Grand Slam promotion gives Dividend Miles members the chance to earn up to 110,000 bonus miles with the Dividend Miles Grand Slam from September 14 to November 14, 2011.

To earn hits and bonus miles, Dividend Miles members must click on partner offers through the US Airways website or request Dividend Miles when making a reservation or checking in with a hotel or car partner.

Dividend Miles members earn 1 hit each time they complete a qualifying transaction with a Dividend Miles partner. Members earn bonus miles on every 4th hit.

Eurostar, the high-speed passenger rail service linking London with mainland Europe, has just launched a free mobile application allowing passengers to book and manage journeys through their smartphones.

The Eurostar mobile application is free and available for iPhone and Android devices.

Booking. How it works: passengers, who book journeys between the UK and mainland Europe — Paris, Brussels and Lille — will immediately receive a mobile ticket with an electronic barcode on their device. The mobile ticket will then be scanned at check-in.

The Eurostar App also includes live service updates to keep passengers informed about travel disruptions.

Business Premier travelers can take advantage of the Eurostar App’s Express Exchange functionality which allow them the flexibility to change their journey details.
