Europe’s third-biggest low-cost carrier Air Berlin will join the oneworld® global alliance.
First big low-cost carrier to join one of the three large global airline alliances, Air Berlin will develop co-operative agreements with group members American Airlines and Finnair.
The partnerships with American and Finnair will provide codeshare flights to 15 additional U.S. destinations as well as on routes to points in Europe and Asia.
Air Berlin is Germany’s second-biggest carrier and offers service to Germany from a number of North American airports including Fort Myers, Miami, Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco, and Vancouver. (source)
