»»JFK ‘Worst Airport’ For Flight Delays in July
The data about delayed flights released by the Department of Transportation for the month of July, show Delta Air Lines subsidiary Comair operated the eight most chronically delayed flights in the United States.
In June Comair flew seven of the nation’s 25 worst-performing flights.

Overall, 19 of the 30 most chronically delayed flights in the U.S. were operated by Delta’s regional affiliates. The Comair Flight 5292 from Minneapolis/St. Paul to New York JFK arrived late all 31 times it flew in July, was the worst performing flight, averaging a delay of 134 minutes.
The second worst performer carrier in July was JetBlue, with six its flights among the 30 most-frequently-delayed flights.
Coming to the airports, of the 30 most-chronically delayed flights in July, 22 involved either a departure or landing at the New York’s three airports (JFK, LaGuardia and Newark Liberty) with 18 of them at JFK.
