»»United Airlines To Cut Domestic Flights

United Airlines announced that it is grounding dozens of its least fuel-efficient aircraft.
The move, involving some of the carrier’s 747s jumbo jets, would help the airline cope with skyrocketing fuel costs. (source: The Wall Street Journal)

The airline also said it’s cutting up to 1,100 more jobs, removing 100 fuel-guzzling airplanes from its fleet and slashing 17% of its domestic capacity. (source)
