»»A380 on Singapore-London Route Starting March 2008

Singapore Airlines is to add London as the second destination for flights operated with Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft.

The first A380 flight on the Singapore-London route will departe from Singapore’s Changi Airport at 9am on Tuesday March 18, 2008, and arrive at London Heathrow Airport at 3.05pm the same day.
On the same day, the aircraft will return to Singapore, leaving Heathrow at 6.55pm, arriving into Singapore at 3.35pm on Wednesday, 19 March 2008.

London Heathrow is the Singapore Airlines’ second A380 destination after the launch to Sydney in October 2007.
The Singapore Airlines A380 accommodates 471 passengers in three classes - 12 in the luxurious Singapore Airlines Suites, 60 in Business Class, configured in a spacious 1-2-1 layout on the upper deck, and 399 in Economy Class. Bookings for flights on the new A380 can be made already via the airline’s website www.singaporeair.com.
