OrbitzTLC Traveler Update is a service blending real-time traffic and weather conditions with real-time, user-generated alerts (”moblogging”, as some call it) for security lines, traffic, taxi wait lines, check-in lines, etc… - and it’s all available both online and on your web-enabled cellphone or PDA (which work on the tarmac).

The Orbitz service combines up-to-the-minute information from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and OrbitzTLC air traffic alerts with the contributions and reports of everyday travelers to create a powerful new information resource. Content includes real-time data and information on security line wait times, traffic delays, parking updates, taxi lines, flight delays, weather information and more - even where to find WiFi connections at the airport.

Orbitz syas the usefulness of particular posts is rated by registered users, spam/profanity filters are well in place, and they’re also planning on rolling out an incentive program soon for the most helpful contributors.
It’s available both to registered Orbitz users as well as non-Orbitz customers. The only difference is that only registered Orbitz users can rate or be rated on helpfulness.
