Emirates delayed launch date of its in-flight cellphone service — initially announced for January.
A airline’s spokesperson said this service is expected to be introduced ‘this year’.
The point is European and American regulators will decide whether to approve the technology. Last week, the US Federal Communications Commission decided to keep a ban in place on onboard mobile phone calls due to concerns the new systems would jam land-based telecommunications.
