»»On Business Trip with Family

According a survey conducted in 2004 by the National Business Travel Association, a group that represents over 2,500 corporate travel managers and travel service providers, sixty-two percent of U.S. business travelers said that they add a leisure component to at least one business trip per year.

Also, two-thirds of the respondents said to bring family members or friends with them. Hotels and the hospitality industry in general are trying new ways to better accommodate family-oriented business travelers.
The idea is not a new one, as Forbes writes

“In 1989, Hyatt Hotels created Camp Hyatt, which now exists at 16 Hyatt resorts in the U.S. and Caribbean. Each kid-friendly camp’s theme plays off of its location”

Companies handling the logistics for resorts’ conventions and conferences, provide activities and services ranging from kid-friendly outings, companion service, hunting for riches on treasure island, sightseeing tours to pajama parties.
