»»Heathrow Airport To Introduce Fingerprint Checks

In order to tighten airport security, London’s Heathrow Airport is set to introduce fingerprint checks.
The scheme will initially involve on voluntary basis passengers flying with Cathay Pacific or Emirates.

Passengers, at check-in kiosk, will be asked to scan their passport photo page and an image of their right index fingerprint will be recorded.
Once these details have been recorded, passengers will be able to check in as normal using the same kiosk.
The scanners will be located in Heathrow’s Terminal 3.
