»»Liquids Restrictions on Flights From European Union Come Into Effect

New security rules, applying to all flights from airports in all European Union, regardless of destination, will come into effect on November 6.
They will restrict the amount of liquids passengers can carry onboard.

Liquids that are in hand luggage must be kept in individual containers with max. capacity of 100 millilitres each, which must then be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag.

Toothpaste, gels, perfumes and the contents of pressurised containers are considered liquids so should be placed in a transparent plastic bag.

Passengers are allowed to carry onboard medicines and other similar necessary items, but may be requested to provide proof that such items are needed (example a medical prescription).

The liquids will be scanned by the airport security staff.
