»»Continental Airlines: We’ll Continue Free Wi-Fi in Airport Lounges

Continental Airlines probably will be allowed to continue providing free wireless Internet service to its frequent fliers in its lounge at Boston’s Logan International Airport.

That is what an airline’s spokesman said.

After the Massachusetts Port Authority instructed airlines to disconnect their wireless networks at Logan, Continental Airlines contacted the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to ask it to intervene as it wanted to continue to offer its free service.

At the Texas-based airline are optimistic that the FCC will confirm Continental’s right to provide free Wi-Fi service to its customers at Logan as well as in other airports.
